About Us

As a practical person, I like to sew things that I can make use of, such as clothes, soft furnishings, and the like.  The Sewing Hutch offers a large range of Liberty fabrics, both dressmaking fabric and medium weight cottons, for my customers to achieve beautiful sewing creations with high quality fabrics.

In addition to Liberty fabrics, I am always on the lookout for fabrics that I love, from brands such as Makower, Michael Miller and Dashwood.  You will see these in the store under the ‘Other Fabrics’ heading.

Based in Dorset, The Sewing Hutch was brought to life, firstly on Etsy, then as an independent online shop.  I run a small business, so every order is personally looked after, and my customers are very important to me. Every stage of the order preparation is carefully handled, to ensure the best experience possible for the end user.

All packaging used by The Sewing Hutch is either recyclable or from climate neutral suppliers, I am passionate about taking care of the amazing World we live in.  Every scrap of fabric is re-styled into smaller projects, such as decoupage or applique projects.
